Child Check-in Procedures
Your child's safety is of the utmost concern to us. That's why we take great care in making sure that our Preschool and Children's areas are as safe and secure as possible. For security, children in first grade and younger will be given a Pick-Up card when dropped off at his/her classroom. That card should be presented at pick-up time. If the same responsible party is not picking up, a photo sent by text/SMS to the other authorized person may be shown. Siblings 16 and older are eligible for picking up children. Children in 3rd-5th grade can be sent to class on their own and will be released at the end of the programming to meet their family at an on-campus location of your selection. With this in mind, please follow these five easy steps when checking your child in and out of our care.
Get a Parent Pager Card
Register your family at the Children's Information Center (1st Floor - Joy Wing) and receive a Parent Pager Card. Pagers are used so that we can make contact with you if the need arises.
Go to a Check-In Station
Check in your child at any one of our convenient check-in locations. Instructions are available at each station.
Get Your Child's Name tag
You will receive a name tag displaying your child's name and picture. Place the name tag onto your child's clothing. A sample name tag is pictured below.
Get Your Check-In Slip
In addition to your child's name tag and pager, a check-in slip will be printed for you to give to your child's teacher upon arrival to class. A sample check-in slip is pictured below.
Get Your Check-Out Slip
Check out your child at any one of our convenient check out locations. Instructions are available at each station. In order to receive a check out slip, the pager must be returned. The check out slip is to be given to the child's teacher for release. No child will be released without a check out slip. A sample check out slip is pictured below.
