The GBC Learning Center is a ministry of Germantown Baptist Church that partners with families to enrich the spiritual, physical, and intellectual development of children through an age-appropriate, quality education that is grounded in God’s Word so that children grow to live and love like Jesus and connect in worship, community, and service through His Church.


Our School Year Track serves children ages six months to Kindergarten. Our program follows a traditional school year, open from September to May. School hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Our Year Round Track serves children six-weeks through five years old. School hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

Do you have any openings?

What is your policy on immunizations?

Each child’s immunizations must be up-to-date prior to attending the first day of Weekday Preschool. Each child must have an updated health form signed by a licensed Tennessee physician, as well as a medical release form on file.

My child has a severe food allergy. How will this be handled?

Our priority is the safety and wellbeing of all children in our care. We require our teachers to adhere to strict hand washing guide lines (for students and staff), to be trained in either CPR or First Aid and to notify parents if an allergy exists in their classroom. Parents are to abide by food restrictions in classrooms with food allergies and not send foods with that allergen. GBCLC is a nut-free school.

If school is closed for inclement weather, will I receive a refund of fees I’ve already paid?

No. We are sorry but we will not be able to issue refunds for school closures due to inclement weather.

What type of curriculum and learning experience do you provide for my child?

Our classrooms are designed with the child in mind with multiple opportunities for active participation. We use the Christian-based "WEE Learn" and Pinnacle curriculums that employ developmentally appropriate activities to encourage the children’s curiosity and desire to learn with an emphasis on instilling Christian values. Our curriculum provides systematic learning in language and early literacy, mathematics, science, social studies, physical development, and personal and social growth. We also offer music classes for children 2-5 years old and chapel services for 4 and 5-year-olds.

Does my child need to be potty-trained?

All children entering a 3 year old classroom must be fully potty-trained.
